#BETNotarized 2013: Top 100 Videos of the Year (List)

Image

Happy New Year everybody!!!  I hope all of you brought it in safely and soundly (and are sleeping off all the alcohol from last night lol).  Seriously though, it’s been a couple of years since we’ve posted this list and there seems to be just as much interest in it as there was in 2010 when Chris Brown’s “Dueces” (feat. Tyga and Kevin McCall) was at the top.  As I do every year, I spent my entire New Year’s Eve glued to the TV in nostalgia and anticipation of what BET’s top videos and moments were.  To my suspicion, the number 1 honor went to “Blurred Lines” by Robin Thicke (feat. T.I. and Pharrell) with A$AP Rocky’s “Fuckin’ Problems” (feat. Drake, 2 Chainz & Kendrick Lamar) as the runner up.  In the end, I enjoyed and agreed with the list as a whole but it reminded me of Hip-Hop’s continued reign over other types of music in the urban community (namely R&B).  Hopefully, 2014 brings a balance of success in both genres so that it reflects in the countdown next time. Birdman “Born Stunna” ft. Rick Ross

Born Stunna (ft. Rick Ross)
Birdman

Money money money BAGGGGG$$$$$$

Repetitive as fuck but you can’t deny Rick Ross swagggg man. Birdman however, is quite useless. But does it matter? No. The beat ridin and the hook sticks to you regardless.
