Killer concoctions work wonders.
“She Wolf” is disco mixed with Latin pop mixed with electro pop. This is a massive crossover hit waiting to happen.
Shakira isn’t the most incredible singer in the world but her vocal performances are always passionate. The urge to dance is overwhelming when this song is playing thanks to the groovy rhythm and feel-good retro vibe.
I anticipate Shakira will face criticism from naysayers who will claim that she’s selling out by hopping on the electro pop bandwagon.
Even though “She Wolf” is electro pop it’s not generic. Shakira’s playful vocals are set to a slick electro beat with disco sounds, funky guitars, and a killer bass line. Instead of making a predictable electro pop track Shakira crafted something unique that–strangely enough–actually doesn’t stray too far away from what you’d expect a Shakira song to sound like.
The “She Wolf” music video showcases the beautiful Shakira in all her hip-shaking glory. Her sex appeal is irresistible. Just watch the video.
Sex sells. That spells big buck$ for “She Wolf.”
“She Wolf” is going to be a worldwide hit on a massive scale. It will likely be a top 10 song in at least 5 different countries. Brian B and myself see this becoming a #1 chart topper on the Billboard Hot 100 here in the US.
Give it 7 weeks.
