T-Pain and and Alicia Keys are ridin’ high at the #1 spots on The Dean’s List this week.

I decided to split up the Rap and R&B lists this time around. You may have noticed that “The One” by Mary J. Blige is on the Hip Hop list even though it’s technically an R&B song. The reason I included “The One” on the Hip Hop list is  because (to my ears) it has more of a hip hop feel than an R&B one.

“Wham That Thang” (#10 – Hip Hop) is a jook/dance song by Florida artist DJ Rhymer that was actually released in 2008 but I didn’t hear until recently at a club and I’ve been bumpin’ it ever since. It has some Donald Duck-ish sounds in it when they say “wham, wham…” that are stuck in my head.

And yes, “13″ is a random ass number for the Hip Hop list but it allowed me to include every song I wanted on there without adding any I didn’t think deserved to be on the list.
